About FastIron List

FastIron List is a dealer to dealer communication network, allowing equipment dealers from all over the world to send messages to each other. Whether they are looking to sell or trade a particular piece of equipment quickly, or need service advice, there is a list for exactly the type of message you would like to send.

The messages arrive in your email, so you do not need to log in to see them. They come to you, where you already go everyday. All the lists offer a Test Drive subscription. The Test Drive subscription will expire after 30 days. You may upgrade from the Test Drive to a full subscription at any time.

Each color and brand list is divided into smaller pieces, so that you will only get the kinds of messages you care about. The sections are: Equipment, Parts, Service, Guidance, and Attachments. Of course, if you'd like to subscribe to all the sections, the Max Iron selection allows you to do that for less cost.

Signing Up For An Account

You can sign up for an account by visiting the sign up page. Fill out the form, and click the sign up button. All of the fields are required. If the form says that your email address is already registered, follow the instructions for retrieving a forgotten password to recover your account.

Before you will be able subscribe to any lists, you will need to verify your email address. Once you have submitted the form, you will receive an email at the address you used to register. Type the code from this email into the box on the next screen to verify your email address and complete your registration. Alternatively, you may click on the "Verify Email Address" link in the email to automatically complete the process.

If your email address is not verified within 24 hours of creating your account, you will need to request a new code. You will be given this option during the subscription process, if your email is not verified.

Retrieving Forgotten Password

If you have forgotten your password, or need to recover an account made from your email address, visit the forgot password page. Type in the email address that is registered on your account and click submit.

You should receive an email message that will contain a six digit code. Type the code from the email into the textbox and click submit. If the code is correct, you will be presented with a form to change your password. Type in the same password into each box. The password must be at least six characters.

The site will automatically log you in, and you will be able to use your new password to log in from now on.

Subscribing To A List

To subscribe to a new list, visit your profile page. In the list of subscriptions below your account information, click on "Subscribe Now" for the list you want to subscribe to. Check the box for the sections that you would like. The Test Drive and Max Iron selections are for the entire list. Test Drive is a free trial that will last for 30 days.

When you have made your selections, click the "Next" button. Read over the order details and make sure they are correct. If the order has a balance due, you will need to type in your billing information. All charges will show as "Fastline Publications" on your credit card statement. Fastline is providing the credit card processing for FastIron List.

To complete the order click on the "Pay Now" or "Confirm" button. You will receive an Order Reference Number. Save the number for your records.

Posting To A List

To send a message to a list, simply compose an email in your preferred email program from the email address you used to register on FastIronList.com.

The list email address is always in the format: [section]@[list].com. So for example, to send a message to the equipment section of the RedIron List, the email address is equipment@redironlist.com. The service section of the BlueIron list is service@blueironlist.com.

If you are having trouble determining the correct email address, please visit your Profile page. From there, click the envelope image next to the list you wish to send to. This will open a new window to with the email address for this list already set.

Managing Your Subscription

To manage your account and subscriptions, log in and click on the View Profile menu option. You will see a list of your subscriptions beneath your account information.

Next to each subscription, you will see a list of sections you are currently subscribed to for that list, with checkboxes next to each section that is currently active. If you want to activate or deactivate a section, you can do so by checking or unchecking the checkboxes accordingly, then clicking the Save button. The Save button will only show after you have made changes.

Renewing Your Subscription

When you visit your profile page you will see a list of all your subscriptions, with their expiration dates. If the subscription is already expired, or will be expiring in the next 30 days, you will see an "Renew Subscription" button next to the subscription.

When you click the renew subscription button, you will be taken back to the order form and presented with a list of sections. You may uncheck the sections you do not want to renew, and check any sections that you want to add to your subscription. Then complete the order in the same way as if it was a new order. Changes made to your subscription during renewal will take effect immediately. If your subscription was already expired prior to the renewal, the subscription will be good for a year from the day of renewal. If your subscription was not expired, the renewal will be good for a year from the day your subscription expires.

Upgrading Your Subscription

When you visit your profile page you will see a list of all your subscriptions. You will see an "Upgrade Subscription" button next to any subscriptions that have sections available that you are not subscribed to, as long as it is not in the renewal period.

When you click the upgrade subscription button, you will be taken back to the order form and presented with a list of sections you are already subscribed to, and a list of sections that are available for adding to the subscription. Check the sections you would like to add, then complete the order in the same way as if it was a new order. See Subscribing To A List.

Your expiration date will not change when adding sections to an existing subscription. The prices for the added sections will be prorated from the date of upgrade to the subscription expiration date.
